Get Involved With Your School

Below are a number of opportunities for alumni of the health sciences schools to get involved. We are always interested in hearing your ideas as well and will work with you to find an opportunity that would be ideal for you.

School of Dental Medicine:
The School of Dental Medicine is currently looking for alumni volunteers to participate in their Successful Practices in Rural and Underserved Areas of Pennsylvania program and for reunion volunteers for the School’s annual Homecoming celebration. Visit Pitt Dental or email Gionna Pitrone at gmp83@pitt.edu for the latest information.

Medical Alumni Association (MAA):

School of Nursing:
The School of Nursing realizes that there is an untapped pool of content experts within the members of its alumni.  Alumni interested in volunteering to collaborate with the Pitt Nursing CE Department to develop a live or enduring continuing nursing education learning activity please email Taylor Andrekanic (tva4@pitt.edu) to indicate to indicate your interest in presenting and in your area / areas of expertise.

The School of Nursing will also work with you to find opportunities to fit your interests.

School of Pharmacy:
Pitt Pharmacy is looking for volunteers for their annual Career Roundtables and Student Industry Symposium events as well as class reunion representatives. Pitt Public Health:

Pitt Clubs and Affinity Councils: 
The University of Pittsburgh proudly boasts more than 40 regional clubs throughout the United States and abroad.  Alumni Pitt Clubs are geographic-based groups that support the University through a wide variety of activities for alumni, friends, and fans of the University.  

Pitt Commons:
Build your Pitt family through purposeful connections! This dynamic (new!) platform offers alumni the opportunity to network, make mentor/mentee connections, and find new professional connections. Visit commons.pitt.edu to make a profile, explore, and connect.

Host an event:

Ask Pitt Alumni:

Introducing Ask Pitt Alumni, the new virtual service designed to help Pitt students and young alumni get quick answers to their career-related questions.

Now, more than ever, we need to help Pitt students and recent graduates cultivate meaningful, productive connections within the Pitt community. This pilot program, which will be rolled out to the broader Pitt alumni community soon, is just one of the ways Pitt is coming to the aid of its community members in a challenging time.
